    Timing belt material

I need to replace some long 1/2" wide L series belting that drives the long axis on my plasma table. I'm finding it in Urethane with steel cords which I have now, Urethane with Kevlar cords or Neoprene with fiberglass cords.

I'm mainly concerned with it not stretching. Does anybody have the low down on which would be best for this application?

    Thanks for any input.

Gates makes GT2 carbon fiber belts. You'd have to do a little investigating to determine if it meets you needs. Might be a bit more expensive than the others though. After initial installation they're not supposed to stretch.
