Does anyone know or have any experience with this type of linear motion?
NB Linear Systems:TWA8UU 1/2" inch Ball Bushing:Block:Ball Bearings:VXB
Yes, I just finished my build using them, and they are awesome. No friction, smooth as silk. I had build a Solsylva CNC from the plans 3ft-4ft and used the roller skate bearings for the linear movement. It worked, but I had these linear bearing from another build so I kinda redesigned the gantry for the new build. I would use them again. I did a lot of research here on different tables and designs. I like Joe's CNC machines as well and think it would be a good build. I used the v-bearing on the y and z. I have 5 inches of travel on my z which is more than enough to cut the material, plus change out the bit. Hope this helps
