| Multi Start acme Rod? Does anyone know if you can use the homemade tap trickin Delrin with a milti start (4start) acme rod RJ

| Yes and No... I have cleaned/opened up ID acme threads using the OD threads of an acme screw. I used a bridgeport, and cut slots down the Acme screw (about 2-3 inches). This acts like a tap... I don't recommend doing it this way cause your major and minor of your thread will be incorrect, your delrin acme nut will be tight on the screw... but I guess it works in a pinch... (Acme threads are pretty easy, I do them almost every day) :-) |

| It's a bit trickier, due to the higher lead, but it should work OK.
