    Large Moments

    Hello

Was wondering if Igus linear rails or Bosch ecoslides are any good for cases where i have large moments (I still have no idea but a wide estimation is (20kg*9.8)*(1m to 1.5m) = Around 250 Nm)

    my options are
    1) Bosch Ecoslides largest carriage they offer
Support it with an Extra shaft and a bearing?

    2) 2x Shafts

    3) Anything you would recommend would be nice

    Length around 1.5 meter

I know Igus has specs on moments and setting up multiple bearings to prevent binding. I would guess Bosch has similar data. I would not recommend either system for such large moments unless you can design in a large separation between bearings to prevent binding. Linear bearings would be much better for higher loads.

Thanks a lot , I'll be doing more research on linear plain bearings/shafts and most probably focus on reducing weight <5kg and the distance.

motors and gearing price for these large moments isn't encouraging
