| Anyone looking for a Precision ground ball screw... ...with a rotating nut on a fixed shaft? Table moves with nut... Here is a little goodie... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=7521941562 Last edited by Dave's_Not_Here; 06-09-2005 at 03:17 AM. Reason: Title |

| Execpt it looks like they have listed it as the precision version when it is a rolled screw version, if the nut is not pre-loaded, they are prone to have a little backlash. Al.

| I saw this earlier in the week - Did you notice that the info seems inaccurate? It says it's a .25 pitch but it is a 4 start screw if it moves 1" per rev, right? I would call that a 1" pitch screw. Scott

| Scott, Actually that would be correct. If it is a .250 pitch and a 4 start lead that would be .250 x 4 = 1.00. The ballnut has a 1" pitch single ballcircuit. So actually it is four 1" pitches rather than a .250 pitch. This type of ball screw allows you to simply remove the nut and start it on another lead when the screw gets worn out. These are usually a non-preload nut used only for actuation purposes such as opening covers or doors. Scotty Last edited by scotty_weeks; 06-23-2005 at 10:38 PM. |
