    Sycn belt drive system

Can someone help me find the video showing two timing belts used as a motion device. One belt is glued to a surface and the top belt engages the lower belt using a couple of tensioners and a main pulley.

I think it was made in Germany......lighting fast!

    Mike

ps I have searched the zone using every kind of word combination I could think of. I am not even sure it is here, but hoping someone knows about it.

    Mike,
How about this servo belt system? It is what I thought of first when you asked about the sync belt drive.

Best belt drive ever! (If I do say so myself)

I was thinking about using something similar for the 5th axis drive.
    Regards,
    Wes

Wes thank you. Yes that was it. I was sure that thing was made in Germany though, but am glad to see it made here and Mike is so open about helping diy'ers with info.

Do you know of anyone who had built a system like this on a wood router and has it working?

    Hi Mike,
I think I saw some mention on his site of some builds that used the servo belts drives, but didn't really read through them. I followed the link in his signature of the same thread I linked and found some very interesting things there.
    Regards,
    Wes
