High cycle double flange linear bearings from 80/20. I'm building a 3 axis mill, 24-36"x24-36" working space (yet to be decided). Ive seen precision linear rails, as well as the matching bearings but if i'm already using 80/20 (3"x6" 15 series #3060) should i be able to use these since they already slide on my existing frame so i can save money? I was going to use them on my x and y axis if so, but was uncertain if they have any play in them or what there wear life is.. Page 326 from 80/20's catalog. All the engineering specs are on page 343. Part Number# 6834 $86.65 a piece. If these wont work, anyone seen a linear rail made to easily bolt up to the T slots of the 80/20? Thanks a lot guys/gals! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! |

Have you tried checking out IVT? http://www.pacific-bearing.com/IntegralVTechnology.aspx I included pictures of something I had done as a sample. It's not exactly comparing apples to apples, but it gives you an option of something else that's out there. Last edited by esdios; 03-08-2010 at 04:39 PM. Reason: Added information about pictures |

| Our rails will bolt directly to metric T-slot extrusions and can also bolt to fractional T-slot extrusions by drilling a few holes in the aluminum T-support. ![]() http://www.glacern.com/sbr -Sol Glacern Machine Tools |
