Default Nut does not easily slide on lead screw

I ordered a lead screw and resin lead screw nut from Misumi, but I have to use a lot of effort to move the nut up and down the screw. I chose the resin nut specifically because it does not require lubricant. Has anyone experienced this issue or used parts from Misumi? I'm on a time crunch so I can't really order new parts. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Here is the nut I ordered:

If this is an emergency, you could try lapping it in with some abrasive, like "clover compound": https://www.newmantools.com/clover.htm This will grind off any high spots between the screw and nut that keep it from working well. Once you have it working smoothly, it's important to remove all traces of the compound, so it doesn't keep grinding away at your screws.

If there's a section of screw at the end that the nut normally will not travel on, use a cutoff wheel in a dremel to cut a slot into the threads, making it act like a tap. Run the nut back and forth over this section until it loosens up.
