By "will it work' I mean, "Is it a sufficient choice for driving the axis' of the cnc machine
What kind of machine?
How long is the screw?
How much weight are you moving?
How fast do you want to go?
For most routers, it will work, but it'll be slow.

I want to go pretty quickly, not sure of weight yet. I see lots of posts about speed ratio or "starts" at 5:1. or turns per inch. how do these specs affect the speed?
