I got some tompson linear bearings from a scrap yard. Some are good and some are bad. I dont know how brand new ones work.
When I mount them to a 3/4" rail, they can swish back and fourth with pinkey finger pressure. However, after I mount them to a board - they seem to jumble up and stop at a certain point where more pressure is needed to push it along.
(simular to this style) - but mine have plastic cases mounted to iron housings

Can anyone tell me if it's worth taking these apart and replacing the balls?
