Default CNC Plasma table with MX4660, Mach3 and ESS

    I built CNC Plasma Table 1500 X 3000 using cncrp, MX4660, ESS and Mach3.

I have no problem with the table built, but I have problem with electronic.

I installed ESS using SCU and continue installing mach3 as per ESS website. Mach3 can communicate with ESS. All ESS LED's green and all MX4660 LED's green. I have configure mach3 : ports and pins, general config, plugin ess, etc.

On mach3 screen, when I click right arrow, left arrow, up arrow, down arrow, etc., all number on DRO changes. No motors move. What should be checked on this problem?

Make sure the drives are enabled, and make sure the ESS is sending step and direction signals to the drive.
Do you have the correct port assigned?

    Hi Gerry,
How to enable the drives? They are enabled from mach3...?

How do I know that the ESS is sending step and direction signals to the drive.

I used port #1 on ESS, I used pin as per written on installation instruction from warp9 ESS website. Where can I get the correct port assigned?

    Hello Gerry,
I read again and again, so you mean by enable the drive is to set Charge Pump switch to OFF position (upward).
Then go to port & pins / output signals and enable charge pump

    charge pump - enable | port - 1 | pin number - 16

I will try tomorrow morning, I will post here to let you know.

    Hi Gerry,
Thanks for the hints. I have already enabled the driver, it means the charge pump is on OFF position. I wired DB26 on MX4660 to IDC on ESS port #1 (Thanks for Greg WARP9), I configure mach3 including enable E Stop and Charge Pump...
I have tested all motors, now all motors can move. Its easy wiring MX4660, very easy actually, but I don't have enough experience with mach3 and not enough info from Leadshine on MX4660.
I will ask to plasma guru here in the zone, I will use this table for cnc flame cutting but without THC. I have 2 ea cutting torch :
    1. 1 ea 2 hoses oxy/acetylene Victor cutting torch, can I use this with plasma mach3 program and sheetcam, how to use it since on the program, there is THC? Can I just neglect THC, how to do it?
    2. 1 ea 3 hoses cutting torch. What kind of solenoid gas valve used? How to connect the solenoid to MX4660 and activate them in Mach3?
I want to know if both option can be used...
Merry X-mas and happy new year to allof you guys and gals in the zone.
    Thanks. Aristo.
