Help! Too many chains?

when i import dxf file there are chain lines going everywhere. they jump back and forth instead of doing one object at a time. can i fix this problem? thanks

I personally rearrange the chains in a more efficient cutting order so on your ornament, each tree and each star would be cut in one group rather than bouncing around. Have you seen the tutorial videos?

What I do is rearrange the chains (move them up or down) in order to make the cutting more efficient. Have you seen the video tutorials yet?
