    Newbie... Help Please!

Okay so here is my delimma:

    Set Up:
    • AutoCAD 2010
    • LazyCam
    • Mach3 CNC
    • PAEI Plasma Table

So I am new to using this set up, more importantly, I am in need of a solution to what I view should be one simple answer; but I could be wrong.

I have to cut hundreds of 6mm and 3mm holes... I can get it to cut the holes fine, but I want the hole to be cut from the center, to a quadrant, then complete the circle.

So I draw 6mm & 3mm circles with a plines from center to a quadrant in AutoCAD in the configuration I need.

Exporting (Saving As) as a ACAD2000 DXF > Importing into LazyCAM

But it seems LazyCam always wants to cut the circle BEFORE the line leading out to the circle...

I have got it to do the cut the right way before, but cannot for the life of me remember what I did to get the outcome.

    Could anyone here please advise?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

FYI - I have attached my DXF file if anyone would like to take a gander at it. Thanks!

Also this file contains 768 holes... so to change each one individually is kind of out of the question.

i think you must create a chain, before to save the file with lazy cam. right click to the work chain and select new chain. you can say to lazy cam the pieces want to cut first, creating a new chain, ex: right click to the work chain select new chain 1 and select the pieces one by one. and when you finish on creating the chains save the file on gcode and open with mach3. i think this will help you!.

Thank you for the reply! One by one will not work... I have 768 holes!

Also the hole & line are one chain, its just the entity order is reversed... Basically I need to cut the hole from the center so it makes a more symetrical circle and does not leave a pierce mark on the outer edge of the circle.

Can you not drag the entitities within the chain into the order you want?

Thanks for the reply sir!!! But yet again, that will be forcing me to deal with each chain/entity... and there are 768 of them...

I think I found the solution using "lead in" All circles are on a seperate layer...
I reduced "lead in" to 0.06 units for the LAYER LEAD IN and it seems to have changed all the circles to cut from inside out.

About to test right now... Wish me luck!
