I have a benchtop CNC milling machine. I'd also like a laser cutter, but don't have the space or $$$ for one. I was wondering if someone sells just the laser portion in such a package that I could put it into the chuck of my mill and use the mill's table to move the piece I'm cutting around. If not, can someone recommend some resources that would be useful for making one (laser diode suppliers, laser power supply suppliers, discussions of which lasers are suitable for which materials/operations, ...)?
