Laser fumes

I live in a condo unit and will now be putting my Laser in my garage. I did not want to do this but circumstances have left me with ZERO choice in the matter.
Any suggestions on what to do with the fumes would be appreciated. I can't really vent them out into the complex, so what are my options?
My friend bought a fume extractor for his and it is useless. A HUGE waste of money. His has the HEPA and Charcoal combination. He bought it from one of the BIG name Laser companys in the US. I'll leave their name out of it.. but it's junk.
I've looked at the electrostatic fume extractors.. mostly used for welding fumes.. has anyone tried this?
Any ideas are welcome..

If you are cutting Acrylic, the activated charcoal filter is really the best way to go.

You might want to look into the smaller units used in nail salons, the HealthMate 200 made by Austin Air Purifier's would be an example. These are usually much cheaper (especially surplus) and designed for Acrylic fumes.

The problem is going to be the cost of replacement media, as the activated charcoal can be depleted pretty fast.

Electrostatic and HEPA filters won't remove the odor very efficiently if at all.

I suspect your friends activated charcoal filter has insufficient capacity (surface area) for the fumes, in which case it will be ineffective.

if you don't mind me asking, why cant you vent them out of the complex? rules and regulations?
