I have just purchased EXLAS 600x 900 80 watt machines from China and currently setting it up. This nice machine running pretty smooth. Way I had it put to me and I can't think of a better analogy- you are getting a BMW for a Hyundai price. Unfortunately no-one on this thread has any experience with this particular machine, . I am also a newbie here just post my own experience to advise those intended purchaser 1,we spent time looking at different machines and doing research with various machine and fixed the target price we can afford. 2,assure the machine come directly from Xyz tech?their official website is www.xyz-tech.com I have visited them many times during the last few years. They have very little stock! If fact, often we must wait for machines to be built when we place our orders. I suspect you may have bought your machines from a Chinese dealer. This may explain the apparent lack of support. EXLAS is Xyz's patent ,so you can distinguish the original easily. 3,personally state my most basic requirement of a machine with Mike and assure you can get spare parts from him. eg. changing laser tube is a small operation, but Mike is an honest and straightforward fellow, and I believe he will support you after the sale. 4,other than that, Customer service is as important as the product - especially with product as technical as important parts. This is going to be a big problem in Terms of selling into north america. You need contact their english speaking salesman, who know the machine and can illustrate it very well. Merely having an alibaba does little to nothing if people don't trust the salesman and support behind their machine. So just try sending mike an email at mike_xyz-tech@hotmail.com, OR mike@xyz-tech.com he responds very quickly even over weekends, and is excellent to deal with. good luck with your intended purchase and please keep us informed of your progress with it.My Small house BIG EXLAS! LOL! A bit tiddly now, new years n all, Happy new years guys!! Cheers~! Doug EXLAS™6090 80Wworking table 24”X36” LaserCut 5.3 software |

| Paul, I get all the spare parts with 6090laser machine: Motorized up-down table, Red-light position, Honeycomb Table Additional Mirror Set, Focus Lens, Industrial Chiller CW-5000, (make sure this series, so you don’t need to upgrade that one of these days) I recommend you to buy spare laser tube for one pc at first,(If I adopted their suggestion, I wouldn’t have to order a spare one now ) and one spare more set lens, the other parts is not so necessary to buy spare The machine with 80w laser tube can cut through 20mm thick acrylic easily with good accuracy; pls inform me your private email, I will send you the sample pics for reference, I will also use my machine to cut 1/2” plywood and leather. They have good support service, I mean their salesman they will give you good explanation. Mr. Mike of XYZ contacted me and I am satisfied with his service, you can contact him. Cheers Doug |

| EXLAS Purchase Experience: 10/10 Machine Quality: 5/10 I personally imported a 1280 100Watt from these guys in June last year. They have a terrific customer support and they are on top of every small issue that you could have. Tony, from XYZ-Tech as it was known before they change their name to EXLAS, is very capable as a sales representative and called me a few times to reassure me that the machine would be delivered on time. I was the first to order their new model (red and grey chassis) and I was a bit uneasy being a gunny pig for their "prototype". As Doug said, they have virtually no stock as they start the build as soon as you make the 50% deposit. The machine was delivered one month after scheduled date, but Tony updated me daily on the build progress and it kept me confident that the machine would be of good quality. The machine arrived in a big wooden crate (400kgs!). Everything was ok except for the plexiglass window which had cracked around the edges. I also took all the options and a spare tube; just in case. The machine was not badly setup...mirrors aligned, X and Y axis truely at 90 degrees. Laser tube holder is a bit shabby, but it does the job. I did countless modification to the machine during the first three months of use and I am finally happy with it. The biggest problem was that the HV connection to the tube was arching with the chassis. I had to do all the HV connection again as the cables were very tight and there was no slack to move the cables around. After that episode with the High voltage cable, I decided to review all the electrical wiring. The wiring is definitely amateur, to me anyway (being form an electrical engineering background). I bought an Ultrasonic sensor to replace the mechanical sensor on the Z-axis, but I finally stripped it off form the machine as it is completely useless to me. I did a lot of research before buying this machine as I was not prepared to give my money to any one as I am not using this machine business purposes. The components are of good quality and I downloaded the data sheets of the components before buying the machine. In conclusion, if you want a good machine for a cheap price (compared to big US brands), and you have some mechanical and electrical knowledge and don't mind debugging the machine for a while, I would say go for it. |

| Hello everyone. There seems to a be real sales push on XYZ/Exlas at the moment. I have an XYZ6090 60watt that i also bought from Tony, Mike's predecessor. Techasist, I would agree with you purchasing experience 10/10 and quality i might even give it a 7/10 where it counts in the critical components. The teething issues you describe sound familiar but obviously can be overcome if you can wield a screwdriver and multimeter with basic competence. i think the concensus is that we expect a little tinkering to be required on a chinese laser system! it means you get a better understanding of how it works but maybe never comletely understand it, a bit like getting to know your woman??!?!? ;o) ............I do however have a sneaking suspicion that Doug007 might be a shill. for example a quick examination of the forum would show that there are quite a few users of XYZ/Exlas machines - myself and Techasist for example. Doug, if this is not spiel you have my sincere apologies. I dont want to start a bunfight though! we're all friends here i hope! best wishes to all KpBadger |

Hi Paul i wouldnt advise against it. it seems to be OK for a chinese machine. if this is your budget . maybe not the best but certainly not the worst. mind you - all i have to go on is the forum, i dont have any practical experience with other chinese machines. Today i am trying to re-install the software and re-discovering how fickle it can be. once it is installed it runs great. you must be prepared to get your hands dirty though, and have lots of patience to begin with. you will experience every emotion in the first week of ownership! i mainly use my machine for cutting thin ply, perspex etc from CAD drawings, which it does very well. Engraving is possible to do well, however it is much more difficult than vector cutting since getting the right settings and creating the graphics requires a lot of trial and error. i have been using for 1 year and am still learning every day. best wishes KPB |
