Need Help!- Ferranti MF400 Laser source

Hi. I'm new to this forum. I own a Lasercomb C112 CNC with a Ferranti MF-400 CO2 Laser source. It looks like this:

After thousands of work hours and improper servicing, from the rated 400W power it now has only about 40w. I've cleaned all the mirrors, tubes, high voltage connectors, gas valves... etc, new output window (plasma -> laser ray), aligned the tubes... and still no power. Can anybody help me with this machine?

i have 2 ferrantie mf 400 machines, 1 MF 600 and MF1000 machine.
I can be that the gas mix is not ok... it also can be that the oil filter on the vacuum pump is full, en that you have got a littlebit oil in the oven....
The problem that you have then is after purge the power is dropping but machine is running stable... what is is the color off the sourche? bleu?..
is the machine not running stable and do you get any error?
also when you need spare parts.... i have allot available for these machines.. even the controller off the lasercomb i have on stock...

Since I posted this I've learned a lot about CO2 lasers. In the meanwhile I've checked everything that you said. It seams that the tubes were replaced with "homemade" ones, and do not have equal length -- and the internal tubes are not perfectly round, causing the plasma to reflect into the electrodes. Do you know where I could buy cheap original/quality cloned tubes, since you have so many machines?

When the lenght is not ok, this can also mean that the allingnment als can be wrong!
So when you have new discharge tubes it can be possilble that you have to do this again... I have an full set for the MF400 available, these are original ones.
But please also check the output lens, iff this placed in with right direction!!
Then you loose also al lot off power.
So how many discharge tubes do you need?

i have an complete 600 watt sourche available for an good price..
This sourche is exactly the same like the one you have... (the only differnce are the discarge tubes and metal part that are on the catots) so you can used if for spare parts or place the complete sourche on...
