amada pulsar 2415 cut conditions

We recently acquired an amada 2415. It cut really well until several changes were made to the cut conditions. Does any one have some type of cut condition reference list for this machine? I need some starting points for feed rates, wattage, frequency, duty and etc. Anything would be appreciated and better than what I have now.
Thanks

we have a 2415, i could help you out with a few, although I'd have to write them all down manually, so let me know which ones you need specifically and I'll sort those out for you. In the back of the user manual there is a base setting chart too, btw.

2415 cut conditions

Bryden,
First of all thanks for your repy. I would like cutting conditions for the following:
18 ga. (.048) crs
16 ga. (.059) crs
14 ga. (.074) crs
16 ga. (.060) stainless steel
14 ga. (.075) stainless steel
I have looked at the back of the book and to me it looks like all of the default settings start out at maximum wattage, duty, etc.

sent you a pm

What is the wattage of your laser? I've just picked up an Amada 655 1500w, and there are several sample pieces that came with it. should be good for a start. I'll get back with those once I get into the shop.

These are off of small notes on sample pieces. Should be self explanatory, but I'm not going to translate. (I'm going to assume metric settings

0.250" steel(crs?)
S=1500w
t=30hz
b=20%
f=200
o2=5kgf/cm2

0.0625" SS
S=1500w
t=2000hz
b=35%
f=1200
N2=8kgf/cm2

0.0625" MS
s=1500w
t=2000hz
f=2500
b=30%
PA=673w
o2=0.25

0.235" ms
s=1500w
f=1100mm/min
t=2000hz
b=40%
o2=0.75kgf/cm2

0.055" ms
s=1500w
f=400mm/min
t=400hz
b=20%
o2=1.8kgf/cm2

I apologize if anything sounds cryptic, but that's what I have to go with right now. Once the power company gets me 3-phase power, I'll have more info from the Amada people during installation.

I'm making the assumption that the burr you are referring to, is on the side of the cut, and not the dross below the cut.

The size of that burr, is just a factor of your cut conditions. If you need a perfectly smooth hole, then you are not going to get that with a laser.

Pulse freq, pulse duration, speed, assist gas, focus, and power all have an effect on that burr. When conditions are the best they can be, that burr will be minimal, but still present.
