I'll try to keep this breif and to the point. Using a 4 x 8 sheet of steel, I am trying to cut a complex disk that constantly change in diameter. It has a circular array of a complex shape in it that stays the same from disk to disk. The position of that cut changes per disk diameter. What I want to do is program a sub that cuts at a different 0,0 than the original home location of the part, rotate it 11 times, but keep it all tied to the original 0,0. Does that make since? Thanks Keegan |

| Does your control offer a G52 workshift? You can search the forums for that term G52 and I think you'll find lots of discussion on it. Its usage is different than the regular work shifts, as you can call new datums with it, within your program. In this case, because you know where your primary datum is, and the exact relationship of all the others to that, G52 should work well.
