I have a Universal PLS 6.60 system. I am trying to create a small wall sign on painted MDF. I am trying to do a background is a light toned color (Ice Blue) so that it creates a shadow effect. The problem is that the fades out the farther that it goes out from the 0,0 point. At the 15 inch point, it is almost gone. Have verified that the table is level and the same height to the laser. Have verified that the boards are flat (have done several different pcs with same result). Have aligned the beam. Anybody have any ideas?? Jim |

| It sounds like an alignment issue. Ensure the beam is in the center of the lens at all points. If it hits the same point on the last mirror at all positions, you are aligned. If not you'll need to adjust the mirrors accordingly. The beam spot size is fairly large before being focused, so you can either lose some energy if it isn't entering the lens or if it is shifting from the ideal focus point in the center of the lens. Zax. |

| I had talked to Universal about this and they told me to align the beam. I have aligned the beam from one diagonal corner to another and into the center. The beam is hitting the same spot on the tape covering the hole during this operation. Is there something else that I am missing?? Jim |

| Yes, I am still having the same problem. I am at a loss to figure this out. Have tried running the program with a different color but did the same thing. I will post a picture later today of the problem. Jim |
