I'm currently in the market for a laser cutter/engraver with my primary goal being to cut acrylic up to 1/4" The bed size needs to be at least 18"x32" but larger would be better. Universal Laser seems to have the best pricing I've found so far. They are asking around $17K for a 60w system new. This is a bit more than I was wanting to spend but I know they have "demo" units at better prices. Are there any other manufacturers I should be considering as well? I've checked with Epilog but their offerings are out of my budget. I would also consider a used system if it's available at a good price in the Dallas area so that I can verify its' cut precision and quality. |
