| My budget would be under 3,000 US dollars. I don't understand wattage. I seen them range from 40watts to 80 watts. I would like to do dog tags and glass. I seen one for sale on ebay for 2,000 a 40watt but the glass I want to do is glass cups which can range 3" diameter to 5-6" diameter. This machine on ebay had a depth max of 2.85". Do you know of any manufacturers that provide the depth without adding to much to the cost? |

| In that price range you'll be looking at either a used US machine (Epilog, ULS etc), or a Chinese system. The Z range (max depth) is just the amount of table travel up/down, the laser depth of field will be much less so for curved surfaces you'll be looking for a machine with a rotary attachment. 40W should be sufficient if you are thinking of painted or anodized dog tags. Zax. |
