What is the official name for a mirror that lets the Co2 laser thru and bounces the visible laser? Ive heard the name beam combiner but will be damned if i can find that name on any sight that sells the laser optics. Aspheric Lenses , beam spliter Achromatic Doublets I have no idea.

| Well I thought there were more experts for lasers on this sight..... anyhow in my search for the right term I've found Dichroic filters which is the term that the laser sights use for a lens that passes a certain wavelength and reflects another wave length. I believe this is what is used for beam combiners so that you can line a laser up using visible light laser

| Hi Michael, Here are a couple of links that I have saved along the way for laser optics. However, I have not purchased from any of them. Hopefully they can be of some assistance for you. http://www.designresearchoptics.com <-- This company was used for a home built CO2 laser I came across. http://www.laserresearch.net/index.asp http://www.laserresearch.net/shoppin...cts.asp?id=280 <-- Beam Combiners http://www.lightmachinery.com/ - Best Regards, Andy |
