| Hello, this should be a step by step procedure, you will need a suitable laser power meter for this start by locating syscfg.ini file and set (if not already) the following: LaserPowerTableNumber=20 LaserPowerTable_0=0 LaserPowerTable_5=5 LaserPowerTable_10=10 LaserPowerTable_15=15 LaserPowerTable_20=20 LaserPowerTable_25=25 LaserPowerTable_30=30 LaserPowerTable_35=35 LaserPowerTable_40=40 LaserPowerTable_45=45 LaserPowerTable_50=50 LaserPowerTable_55=55 LaserPowerTable_60=60 LaserPowerTable_65=65 LaserPowerTable_70=70 LaserPowerTable_75=75 LaserPowerTable_80=80 LaserPowerTable_85=85 LaserPowerTable_90=90 LaserPowerTable_95=95 LaserPowerTable_100=100 there will be many repetitions of this table make sure all are set the same, then we need to make a long square on our software and set it up to be cut at 100 percent power 1% speed, move the laser head to the center of the table and disconect the motors so that wen you send the square to cut the motors wont move but the laser WILL fire, remove the focusing lens setup the power meter and send the job, after reading the power you get stop the job and repeat using -5% power setting (100% - 5% = 95%), keep repeating the power measurments decreasing each time 5% untill you reach 0 post your results and i will get you the calibration chart to setup correctly your machine. thanks Eduardo |

| They sure do cost heaps. what might happen if I were to mess with those numbers without actually measuring the power? What would want to change in order to get the laser to fire at lower power settings, which was my problem in the first place? Is that a bad idea? The rental option is not bad, and i may resort to that if i have to. thanks |
