Marking Stainless using CO2 laser 60 Watt

Hello Friends,

i have something news to share.
Today i could make some marking on stell and stainless Steel using my laser.
just coat that steel using etching chemical.
After that put it on laser.
i using speed 5 power 40. ( usually use that for cutting acrylic )
have good result with that.

when i use engraving mode, my speed 200 power 50 distance 0.05
but still don't have good result, the marking gone when i scratch with nail.

Please share your comment and your result with your laser.

Regards,
Huahahahahaha

Which etching chemical did you use? Did you use Cermark or the Brasso/clay mix?

Can we see a picture?

i still don't have time to try laser etching again.
but i found the problem, why the result is bad.
i not cover all area perfectly with that solution. ^_^
because i just want to try that time, and not hope will success.
this is the pic.
in the outline, i use configuration for cutting acrylic. ( low speed, high power )
the letter, using graving configuration.

btw, i also could colouring the acrylic, without losing its transparancy effect.

That is a good start.

Maybe you would have to laser it 2 times to make it darker?
