These are additive processes (which bond or combine with the base material).

This is the only option for a low power CO2 laser. It does not create an engraving/etching mark so has no depth for you to fill, but depending on the pigment in the chemical additive you will get a visible mark that is unable to be removed without physically damaging the base metal.

If you want to create an etching, Nd:YAG or Yb:YAG will work well, you can also use a chemical etching process (with laser cut mask), or the simplest would be a CNC router with engraving bit.

generates a 0.1 mm deep, white, or dark mark, on: Stainless steel.
It was not development to be fill manually with other paint. It was made to engrave a deep ; if you look for permanent black mark we have codige 7007/7011/7015.

Of course to create an etching, Nd:YAG or Yb:YAG will work well, you can also use a chemical etching process (with laser cut mask), or the simplest would be a CNC router with engraving bit.
It is think to let work with low power CO2 laser machines , getting more option to work with this type of laser machines. (not only cut and engrave soft materials)
