MPC03/dedicated software 5.0

Hi everyone.

I am new here and to Laser cutters so I want to share my difficulties with you guys.

The problem is that the cutter can't/won't do 1:1
Scaling/resizing is not an option.
See if I import a .dxf file e.g. a 25mm in diam. circle the machine cuts it about 15mm in diameter

Evenso when engraving. It cuts a straight line or put carbage on the workpiece.

I've read some post about bad soldering points on the card.
I reflowed mine without any solution.
Installing the card was not a problem the first time (tried every empty PCI slot to solve this problem)

Btw, the card, software and driver came with the machine.

Am I doing something wrong or do you guys say try a 3rd party software that can control the MPC03 card?

Please help.....

Regards,

Moos

Sounds lke you need to change the number of steps/inch setting... not a hardware problem, only a software setup issue.

Moos , open your machine settings in the software, in the z axis and y axis , look for the pulse unit (maybe on top of the page) at the side of the numbers there is a box with little dots, click there, if you change that numbers you 'll get diferent moving distance per turn of the motors, then try to cahnge the numbers and measure again, that way you can get to the perfect size. Dont you have the manuals??

Thanx for the input.

"open your machine settings in the software, in the z axis and y axis ,..."
I asume you mean the X and Y axis?
I do have the manuals but with bad english

Ok, I found out the settings in the program, but it differs from yours (see attachment)
Anyway I've changed these and voila!...a perfect 25mm circle.
Except for now when cutting a retangle...the longest line is always shorter than the input no matter if I cut it horizontal or vertical.
Do I still need to change a setting?...see pdf.

I also got a sorta disc tool with the machine, is this tool used for getting the right height from workpiece to the nozzle? It has an adjustable inner wheel also.
Again this is not clear in the manual.

Is there another tweak or setup for in the settings?

Again, no clear instruction for this tool in the manual.

Sorry, the x and Y axis is rigth,
The input in my machine for pulse is 6400, dont remembere the each length input.
But you can do the same with the steps for the rectangle,in the machine software draw a 100 x 100 mm box (or any size) and change parameters until you get the samne size in the cutting, I only make ltiny lines to get the real measure, you can do it very exact. If you want, send my your mail by private message and i'll send you the manuals, I have a collection of it.. ( also chinese softwares) Thats not a big deal,.. umhhh...
What is the brand and size of your machine?
Luis
