Low cost Chinese Laser (LK-40W): Vector-based cutting?

I just purchased an "LK-40W" on ebay. I'm seriously wishing I'd found this site first!

Can anyone help me find more information on this device? Especially, what are the possible paths to vector-based variable intensity cutting?
