Hi, my robotics team at my school made a cnc machine to cut parts out, and we were wondering if there was a low cost laser add on that we can just attach to the mounting bracket where the router normally goes. i would appreciate it if anyone knew a place where we could buy a laser to attach. |

| I really doubt it. There are a lot of electronics involved in producing a laser cutting beam so it would have to be huge and hard for your unit to move, or have a really long flexible cable routed to the head. If you are talking about cutting metal the power needed would not come inexpensively, and it would be dangerous to be operating in an unenclosed area. I imagine that there would be nasty liability issues that a school would not want to take on. |
