Mistake with Laser Machine (MPC03 Controller)

Okay our company made a mistake buying chinese laser machine, its from RedSail, we sent them a MILLION emails, but they reply to the emails they want or they simply ignore us, we got the machine 7 months late from the promised dilivery time and comes with the famous defected MPC03. It has all sorts of problems and wierd stuff happening to it, first time we got it there were problems with the software straight away, couldn't get the measurement right and many other problems, sometimes the laser fired, sometimes it just low on the power doing nothing, then our laser got damaged because we used wrong distilled water, damage the alimunium head of the laser, so we got it replaced by a local company, we still have many problems, laser sometimes fires (mA goes up to 15MA) sometimes just sits low doesn't go more than 10mA, the laser is 80W CO2 (Voiletblue color), sometimes at some parts of the platform the laser don't effect (even tho the power is up) sometimes it just cuts acrylic 5MM in 2 times, it depends on the machine's head position...just damn weird.

My question.

Does ANYONE have a solution to the software, first question? (it came with MPC03 Lasercut 4.0 DSP) I am assuming most of the problems is from the software, even tho i explained that to my boss he refuses. If this get solved i can do the rest myself because in 2 months i've experimented with all the parts because since the day one it didn't work properly. A link for the software would be a bonus to me. Thanks in advance.

Hi Rom1n,
This may be a long shot on the "cutting depending on the heads position" but have you checked the laser alignment? If it cuts in 1 place and not another then the laser sounds like it is missing the mirrors or deflecting off the edge of them. There is a thread on how to do this around here somewhere but you have had the machine for a while and probably have thought of this a while ago.
As I said , just a long shot.

Yeah thats the most logical thought it came in my mind, but I am sure the mirrors are all aligned properly.

I am still looking for the software if anyone could find me..(DSP 5.0) but I would be very happy If I found a software like Windows printer software so i can do stuff directly and exact measurements from CorelDraw and not rely on some imaginary numbers. Thanks

Hello
Maybe you should be looking at the pci card as this controls every thing the laser is doing, i Have dsp version 1 and also 5 if yours runs with 4 i dont think you will be able to work it with a higher version, can you be clearer about what you say regarding measurements.
Regarding power there is a box to tick for power in version 1 and if not done emits low power, does your machine engrave correct or is it still wrong on this setting.

Regards

Nah there is no box to tick, its completely the random..the laser will emit if it wants and if it doesn't want it wont. about the measurements, well i had to go thru alot of hussle to get the correct measurements because on screen, there are just numbers i assume its steps, but physically you need some measuring unit, like CM or Inch or something..plus for some reason the software doesn't have any 0,0..everytime i import files from Coreldraw (plt) i have to guess the size, try, and then measure it physically until i get the correct size and the 0,0 gets restarted accordingly to the image.

and the engraving feature doesn't work at all..the laser just keeps on moving on one line, it just engraves one line..unless i use gradeengrave, and the gradeEngrave doesn't have any settings for power or speed.
