hi there
to laser engrave pictures is allways a kind of trial and error in moshidraw.
you need in photosop to make sure that the grey scale is 8 bit first and dont use halftone instead use jariss or any of this 3 settings then you need to unsharpen the picture and dither.
then you safe it and take it to moshi this will convert it automaticly in to black and white.
greetings

I am using a JC-4040 with a Paintshop Pro BMP photo that has been opened in MoshiDraw.
I convert the full colour photo in Paintshop Pro to a greyscale image with halftone screen applied with a round shape (dots finish).
I then save as bmp in Photoshop and open in MoshiDraw for the output as there are no drivers with the machine to send the job from photoshop. MoshiDraw has an output option that sends the job to the machine.
My concern is that the quality of the engraved photo result is not as good as it could be. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions to getting the best quality out of Paintshop Pro/MoshiDraw? For instance is there an ideal image conversion process I can take?
Thanks. | |
