Vytek reprogram to use with?? | |
I am messing around with the idea of getting a project Vytek FX which has no tube or software to drive it. The software to drive this machine is $2500 which I think is nuts but what can I do? Would it be possible to use some kind of stand along CNC program to drive the motion of the laser? Like what would it take to adapt the motion control of a universal laser system to operate this machine? I would think hardware on the different machines would be similar so could you somehow trick things to work? If this was a mechanical issue it wouldn't bother me but I have no clue about software/firmware issues like this. I would just pay for the laserworx software but I would rather not go to Vytek for support as they do not like to support older machines without you paying up a crap pile of money. I wish everyone was like ULS when it comes to tech support.
Any info on this subject would be awesome.
