Newbie- Can 25watt cut through 3/16" acrylic and/or wood?

Hello,
I am looking to buy a laser cut machine to start an etsy shop. Can 25watt machine cut through 3/16" acrylic and/or wood?
What would be a ideal price to pay for a used 25 watt VersaLaser VL 200?

Yes 25W will cut through 3/16" clear acrylic albeit rather slowly. It is doubtful if it would cut 3/16" wood without multipass, which makes a very poor cut most of the time but, to a large extent, it depends on the type of wood.

Probably best to look for 40Watt minimum.

25W is too samll, 50W is much suitable for you, 50W laser power could cut acrylic max reach to 6mm, MDF 2mm, usual wood about 5mm, for rubber about 2mm, so the laser engraver match with 50W laser power is much more suitable for you.
