Continuous Line

Hello,

I am a new user to this forum and somewhat new to laser engraving. My company has 2 different kind of laser a "universal laser" and "Kern laser". I'll try to keep it short.

I work for an manufacturing facility and we cut all different types of material for our products. We specialize in custom cases. We get many dxf files from many of our customers. When we receive a dxf file some of the files we receive has hundreds of different nodes. We don't want to spend hours at a time trying to create the file to a one continous line. We want to reduce as time it takes to create a continous line for our cut parts. We cut hundreds of parts a day and we group multiple parts in each run. So having a one contiunous line is a critical part in our process.

What is the best way with the shortest time, to create a continuous line? We have all sort of software: autocad, mastercam, bobcad, optitex, illustrator, coreldraw with curveworks add-on, and a few other I can't think of right now. If you know of any other software that is a sure fire please let me know, we don't mind getting any software that can do what we want. Or if there is any method that you know of please share.

i like RHINO ,in this program its easy too connect many lines,and convert to dxf.

LaserCut driven machines do not have any problem with nodes.
You do not have to make continuous line.

Thanks for the reply. We tried cutting with multiple nodes. We experience the laser jumping from on location to the next. This was very time consuming.

I have another question if someone can help. Is there a way to make the laser machine cut parts and lines/waves (some form of aesthetics design) at the same time? Will changing the color scheme affect how much it cuts? We want to avoid any kind of raster engraving but utilize vector cutting to its fullest.
