Hello everybody. I'm new on this forum. My name is Anne and I have a business in The Netherlands. I engrave promotional items. have bought this year a IEHK 900 series from China. A beautyfull machine with great results. Last friday I engraved a piece off glass and turn off the machine. After an hour I would engrave another piece. All parts did work. I could import a logo in Lasercut 5.1, give speed and power and did a 'run-box'. It all did look good but when I started the engraving there was no laserbeam! I have checked the waterchiller, the cirquit of the hood, the powersupply and the datawire. Etc. And it all is connected and measured. I can also give directions trough software to the X-Y-Z axes. When I puch the button TEST on the powersupply the laser works. When I push the testbutton on the controlpanel it does not work. So my guess is that the lasertube, powersupply and software are working correctly but I have no more ideas what this problem is. Is there anyone who have had the same problem or any suggestions what this is? Illustrations of the machine you will find attached. More info needed? please let me know. If the card (MPC03) is dead, would I be able to give directions to de axes? I hope you can give me the right information! Thanks, Talsmann |

| It might be the LCD panel or motherboard , but would have a look at the flow sensor or lid closed sensors if it has them. Are you 100% sure they working? Check the emergency laser shut off switch if it has one , you havent perhaps switched it off? Other than that double check all your wiring to the laser and its power supply from the card. A setting might have got changed , read your motherboard and see what settings are stored , check the settings on your LCD , you might have set max power to 0 or something like that... The motherboards are fairly cheap - $270 or less , you can investigate an upgrade to a newer or better mobo if you want to run other software with more features . Will cost you a new mobo (motherboard) and lcd pad , $400-500 |

| Rodney, thank you for your quick response! I have tested the two sensors and they give the right response when I measure them. But the idea that the problem is in one of those keeps me thinking. I will check them again. I have checked the emergency switch and that's off. I just checked the card in my computer and the green led is on, which should mean that the card is working. I have checked all the wires from the card to de machine and all cirquirts are 'closed'. I have made printscreens of all settings I used before the failure and I changed those when I reinstalled the software. An upgrade mobo, that sould give me lasercut 5.3 for example? Thanks again for the support! Anne |

| You can run something like laserworks/rdcam with a new mobo.. The RDLC320 or the like. Will control your steppers and your tube , you might need some other bits to implement this , like a main power supply , if it has the incorrect voltage. |

I have tested the sensors again and they seem to work. The problem seems to be that the incomming power at the powersupply should be reduced when the sensors are working. In my case the sensors seems to work but the power will not drop at te powersupply.. and when the power won't drop, there will be no signal to the laser to start.. Is it useful to replace the sensors (new waterchiller and a new lid closed sensor?) or is there a way to avoid those sensors just to see what happens? I also have opend the PC to see the card. The green LED that indicate the card is working properly is on. I have replaced two parts on the card that send pulses to the machine, no result. So, waterchiller, powersupply, sensors etc. are working but still no beam or response on the control panel.. The supplier of this machine says that if I have laser trough the testbutton on the powersupply it must be a software problem. Software only contains the Lasercut 5.1 programm, witch I reinstalled yesterday. What else software can I install to see if that's the problem? Otherwise I don't know any more solutions.. |

Good morning, Problem solved. Just pay 5 times more attention to the sensors than everyting else! My lid sensor was working but still did not make enough contact. I did connect the wires directly now so that this problem won't come up again! Specialy thanks to Rodney, for all the support! Best wishes, Anne |
