after 5 min cutting 85% power
temp. of water is already 35 C
room temp 20 C
is this normal
or is the chiller defect ?

not normal on mine i can run mine all day and not hit 35 i use automotive antifreeze in my chiller 50/50 mix using distilled water

but i wonder if the chiller is not broke.

Might wanna run a industrial chiller or toss a wort chiller inline or make your own wort chiller by twisting copper tubing into length of coil its a simple heat exchange

checked it twice today.
the black pump for the cooling gas/liquid is very hot
all tubes of copper and th ebig cooling block cold !!!!

water is warm
i get the feeling that there is no R404 or freon or whatever must be in there

if i take a look at a standard fridge ,the cooling block is always hot !
something is wrong here

it turned out ,the compressor didnt turn/work
they measured 7,2 Amps ,thats more than the whole machine should use.
conclusion compressor broke.

i asked a new part .and they promised to send it to me.
now we wait how fast it will be delivered.

Would a chiller like this work to cool glycol from 200F (93C) down to 75F (23.8C)? do you know what the GPM or Litres per minute capacity it has? Goal - cool 31 gallons of beer down as quickly as possible. Glycol would be used with a heat exchanger.

CW5000 (similiar to 5200) has about 2400-3000 Btu/h
So you may count what you need.
