CNC Laser Cutting Machine - I just want one

I run a metal fabrication shop in Perth Australia. I want to purchase a CNC Laser Cutting Machine that will take 2400x1200mm sheets and cut up to 12mm steel and 4mm aluminium. Budget is about $100,000. 2nd hand would be considered. What do I need to know? Good links for research would be appreciated. Would consider overseas purchase.

Argonista, I was researching laser cutters and settled on "Golden Laser" as my preferred manufacturer. I wanted a solid state laser and theirs went up to 600W. I think this unit, the largest practical one for me, would cut up to 8mm steel and 3mm aluminium. The representative I was dealing with suggested I should get a plasma cutter if I wanted to go over 8mm steel and actually, I think that's a better idea. Lasers have all sorts of requirements for cooling and maintenance which plasma cutters dont. The only thing about a plasma is that it has a bigger kerf and less smooth edge finish. Apart from that, a decent plasma cutter is much cheaper and less hassle.

Can you fit a plasma torch to a laser cutter or would I need a separate CNC router for it?

I've heard of some combo units, but keep in mind most commercial units you're dealing with some sort of compromise. A laser adapted to plasma wouldn't be as good as a dedicated plasma. Also have you looked into waterjet cutters? I don't know what thickness they can cut, but I've heard they have a cleaner cut.

our 650W Yag laser cutter can cut up to 10mm steel, 12mm would need higher power, cut 4mm aluminium is ok, we have cutting bed 1300mm*2500mm. with laser cutter the precision is high and obviously better effect than waterjet machine.
