I have an old 40watt co2 cnc laser setup that I need to update, running an OLD old old laptop, using 3.5" discs for the files, Id like to upgrade to a desktop probably, one issue being the drive system uses a large serial port off the laptop. I use desknc for the laser software, everything needs an update, any idea's on what and how? Im ok with the software yet, but will I have to update the hardware that drives the motors and controls the laser? I appreciate the help. |
