marking Rhodium

Hello all

does anyone know if Rhodium plating metal will mark with CO2 laser?

i would think its unlikely unless thermark is used?

or do you need YAG, end-of-story ?

I think you are right - it is either thermark (but you would have to try a sample first) or YAG.

hey,

CO2 laser works better on marking non-metal materials such as leather, plastic etc.

For marking metal material, i recommend you YAG or diode side-pump laser.
Diode side-pump laser is better than YAG laser for thin beam and no need to change "lamp".

I think rhodium is kind of metal materials.
