HELP - FILES NOT APS ETHOS

I've been working on drawings to get a model lasercut. However I work on Microstation (another CAD program) and export to dwg afterwards but when I went to get lasercutting done the files were all messed up with lines everywhere, they look fine in autoCAD to view but then on lasercutter the lines are all over the place. After and suggestions from lasercutter I messed with files more:

Units changed.
Coordinates changed to 0,0
Overkill to erase duplicated lines
Flatten
Export to DXF.

However it STILL wont work! Can anyone help please? I'm in my final year/week of architecture and really need to get this done. The software they use is APS - Ethos if that helps at all.
