Hi I'm running a 3015 HV 20CFM Mitsubishi laser. Laetley we have not been able to get de-ionized water for our cooling system and have been using distilled water instead. I replaced our Ion exchange resin sock about a month ago. In the past it has lasted upwards of six months. Usually on a monday morning it will take up to 15 mins or so to do an ion exchange on the coolant system and then away we go. Over the last couple of weeks, monday has taken up to 1-1/2" hours and everyday can be almost an hour to get going in the morning. When I changed the resin sock it took almost 2 hrs to get going. Should I be flushing the system and refilling with new distilled water or is my resin sock gone allready? We can't get de-ionized water in my city anymore. |

| Distilled is not the same as deionised, distilled is purified, and still has its ions intact. The problem you now have, is that you are deionising a lot of water before you use it, as opposed to just keeping the water deionised in use. The sock might be 'used up' now. Can you not get battery topup water ? This is the same stuff over here. |

| Zig's Place in Paris MO is using a Mitsubishi 3015HC and the it was throwing codes and the resonator would immediately shut down. If you have an ORSCHELN's Farm store, they have water that works. (1 Gal jugs) I needed 15 ish. I purged old crap that was giving me problems (ION levels way too extreme) and replaced the DeIonizing cartridge. I am away from that location, so I can not give you the exact nomenclatures of water nor filter part number. DON'T spend MILLIONS on this issue (well not millions, but I was getting tired of experimenting with different waters). For 79 cents a jug and an online purchase of $80ish bucks for a filter, I was up and running with a happy face and wallet. The shop number where the laser is located (660) 327-4263. Ask for Lance or Grant. Z |
