I just got a used vl-200 and I have some questions. Been reading alot of a forums and the PDFS i got from universals tech support. 1) I follow the calibration steps to zeroing the x axis however... when I want to engrave something the laser is more than the 2 inches away from my piece of wood. I cant move the honeycomb base up enough to be 2 inches away the closest i can get is about 2.5 inches... (i can put another board under it but i just get the feeling this is not the correct way) incase i did something wrong here is how i did it... First i did the shift alt plus 8 and reinitalized. did the homing> clicked reset x axis moved the base up until it was 2 inches from the laser then did the ctrl+f3 and saved the settings. |

| It sounds like you need some basic help, I would contact ULS to get training so you can get the most from the equipment. Zax.
