Problem- slow loading

Hello, this is my first post on cnc zone.

I have a hpc laser 1200x900 which we are quite pleased with. I have a problem when trying to load large files from say 8mb in size. First the computer takes an age to load the image on the screen then when I download to the laser memory it takes about an hour to load or it gives up if the file is too big. Any tips to be able to handle larger files with ease?

1) How laser is connected to PC?
2) Really I can remember only 2-3 files which were 8 Mb in size in my 14 years experience with laser )
may be something is wrong with file preparation??

Hello thanks for your swift reply. I connect the laser to pc via a usb cable.

I could send the example file for you to look at?

One customer came in with an A0 architectuaral detailed model of at least 40mb!

Here two files, open them in Corel select objects and make UNGROUP ) will see what I mean
