I'm trying to figure out settings to use thermark, this stuff is expensive so I don't want to just play around with it. I have LMM14 and here is a link to their website and suggested settings. I just can't figure out how to translate this to my machine. I have an 80w CO2 setup. So it says for stainless steel 41w, roughly 50% power for me, but it says 98ips which is 2489.2mm per sec That's insanely fast, That has to be an error, I don't know any co2 setups that are 98ips. So what would you recommend starting out at for power and speed? |

91 * 25.4 / 60 = 38.5 mm/sec So, first test for you should be about 40 mm/s at 50%. Then adjust from there. |

I see that the chart does say in/sec, but I don't believe it. I have used this with a 40w laser and cannot image going that fast. That is over 8 feet per second. When I use it, it is more in the 20-30 mm/sec range. Any faster than that and I have never been able to make the engraving "stick". It just flakes off. If anyone else has experience, let us know. |
