Awesome Pawn shop find!

I found 2 Roland MPX-60 photo impact printers for $250 for the pair. Only problem is it seems it's discontinued and hard to find parts for it. And on ebay it seems very few are for sale, which means either it's junk and they're almost all dead, or people are keeping them and still using them. Does anyone have any experience with them, or know where to buy parts?

From memory you need the Roland software to drive these units and this probably only runs on W95 / W98 which is why they are where they are. However, it would be worth investigating a new driver for the magnet and using the Mach3 Impact Engraver / Laser plugin. Impact engraving plugin

You can download the driver from Roland's website:

You can download the driver from Roland's website:

Click 'Drivers' and select your OS. The Vista driver works with Windows 7 (at least on the MPX-80, I think the 60 should work too).
