Ok I'll admit I'm not an electrician but I do understand a bit about electrical. I've set up my shop with 220/240v US. The equipment I ordered is 220v, but it's wired with a chinese AS-3112 plug, which is 220v on one leg, neutral, and ground. US 220 is 2x110v legs with neutral and ground. How the heck to I get this to work??? I emailed the company, but it is 1am on a major holiday, I'm not expecting a reply for a few days, and I'd like to keep moving on this setup. Here's a photo of the type of plug. http://www.zs-sl.com/UploadFiles/20085249116152.jpg Last edited by bpoulin; 02-03-2011 at 12:42 PM. Reason: added photo |

| I am pretty sure this is correct, but then again I'm from England where 240V was the standard... You'll need to connect one 'hot' leg (110V) to their 220V, the other 'hot' leg (110V) to their neutral, and then the ground to ground. Zax. |

| Zax is right, In this case you don't need neutral. If you can't use your "chinese" plug, simply cut the wire and use your own ( I don't know what kind plug you use in US ), leave the neutral away - but remember connect the ground ! ![]() Regards, Hannu |

| The 220 with one side neutral refers to UK and Australia etc standards. See http://www.cnczone.com/forums/laser_...al_system.html Al.
