laser cutter won't use full speed...
Hi everyone,
My name is Goran. I'm working with a laser cuter for almost two years. I have 80w CO2 laser cutter machine. I had worked only a few times with paper and it was almost perfect but it wasn't a problem because I was working only a few pieces and the time and quality were relevance. But now I need to work like 100 papers by two days and the vector is complex. That means that I need to work with almost full speed of the machine. ANd then there is the problem. After two years I saw that changing the speed, with same power settings, from 50 to 90 it makes difference for only a 30 seconds which I think it's not right.
So the laser is bought in australia but it's chinese softwer and hardwer, and the company is not so helpfull. If anyone know what should I do please tell me so I can finish the project.
Thank You and have a nice day

If you have a lot of small Intricate cuts, there is not a hole lot you can do. Laser cut (leetro controller) will slow the cut down and reduce the power. This allows for the acceleration of the steppers motors.

Re: laser cutter won't use full speed...
Well I do have a lot of small cuts and I didn't think of this but it was strange that the engraving is good and the cutting speed is acting strange when is hier, it changes nothing after 45 I think. Anyway if You are sure about this than I can do nothing about it. I was reeding somewhere that there is a problem whith the chinese lasers and even though I bought it from Australia I got no support and the laser was mess and so. And it was almoust normal for me that something else is wrong too.
Anyway thanks a lot, and if there is anything else that i should know or try I'm ready to hear.
Have a nice day and thank You again
Goran
