    Larken 2424R

What's the deal with the Larken 2424R router? Good/bad? I have a chance to pick one up at a real decent price, including the software. My only reservation is that I have a few questions, and the owner, Larry had been sent several e mails and I have made several telephone calls, none of which have been returned.

I guess that thias make me a little gunshy. I have even just called and said that I have an inteest in buying a router, still with nobly ever available to talk to me except for a guy that says I should buy a Shopcam. Is this weird or what, calling Larken and getting Shopcam?!!! When asked what the deal is with Larken, I just get the runaround.

Any input good, bad or ugly would be great!

    Thanks,
    Mike

I usually get him when I call !
Larry is there every day after noon. He works late and doesn't get up early. Lenny is always there though. (613) 746 5685. They also have a 1-800 number.

I have purchases Larken machines and they work very trouble free, Larry is the designer of the machines and designed the software and electronics.
I Know it is sometimes hard to get hold of him. I believe for a while there was someone acting as distributor, but its seems to have reverted back to Larken co.
In spite of the sporadic support, the machines perform well.

    Larken routers

As the owner of 2 Larken machines, I will vouch for Larry and his company.
My machines have been the hearts of my shop for 3 years, running without flaw, easy to work with and learn. I am very happy with them.

We have a 24x24 which is about 10 years old now. We machine fiberglass which is very nasty stuff. We have replaced two stepper motors and one axis control board. Pretty darn good in my view.
