| Stepper vs servo on system 100 On the system 100 (4' x 8'), what is the diference in price between servo's and steppers. Whats the difference in speed ? |

The stepper can cut at about 300 in/min and the servo is about double that. One big advantage of the servo would be in drilling because Z axis raise and drop is so fast, while a stepper is much slower lifting and dropping a router. Cut quality is the same for stepper and servo cutting at the same speed. There are limit switches on all axes as well. |
