Is this an early Larken machine?
I just happened to see one for sale and was struck by the resemblance. Does anyone know?

No it isn't.
My aluminum tabled camtool 2424 (since 1995) has been copied by many though. Before that they had steel frames, and my first was in 1989.
But Techno was building tabletop cnc's in the 80's. Thats one reason i started, i got this Techno catalog in the mail in 1988, and it was like a bible to me !

Thank you Larken! Can I ask if you do recognize my machine by its maker?
It would make my task of sourcing a controller a lot simpler if I could find that out.

It looks like a table built by a hobbyist. The slosyn steppers are surplus, and a manufacturer would use new motors. Its possible its a wart hog as they used Vtrack a lot.
But it looks well made.
